Lift Card ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Lift Card mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). Please read this policy carefully.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you register, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if you choose phone-based sign-in), profile photo, and any other information you voluntarily provide to set up your account.

Fitness & Workout Data

We collect workout logs, exercise sets, reps, weights, cardio sessions, rest timers, split configurations, and progress photos that you create or upload within the app.

Health Data

With your explicit permission, we may read from or write to Apple HealthKit (e.g., active calories, workouts). This data is used solely to enhance your in-app experience and is never shared with third-party advertisers.

Purchase Information

When you purchase workout programs, transaction details (such as product ID and purchase date) are processed by Apple (for in-app purchases) or Stripe (for direct purchases). We do not store your full payment card details.

Usage & Device Data

We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Service, including device type, operating system, app version, crash reports, feature usage analytics, and general location (country/region) derived from your IP address.

Communications

If you contact us for support, we retain your messages and any information you provide to resolve your inquiry.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
  • Personalize your experience and display relevant content
  • Process transactions and send related notices (receipts, purchase confirmations)
  • Send push notifications, reminders, and service-related communications
  • Analyze usage trends to improve features and fix bugs

3. We Do Not Sell Your Data

Lift Card does not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties for their marketing or commercial purposes. Your data belongs to you. We do not monetize your personal information through data brokers, advertising networks, or any other sales arrangements.

4. How We Share Your Information

We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

Service Providers. We engage trusted third-party companies to perform functions on our behalf, such as cloud hosting (Google Firebase, Amazon Web Services), payment processing (Stripe, Apple), analytics, and push notifications. These providers are contractually obligated to use your data solely to perform services for us.

Other Users. Content you choose to make public within the app (such as progress posts and profile information) is visible to other Lift Card users. You control the visibility of this content through your privacy settings.

Influencer/Creator Programs. If you purchase a workout program from a creator, we share your purchase confirmation (but not your payment details) with that creator to facilitate program delivery.

Legal Requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, court order, or government authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Lift Card, our users, or others.

Business Transfers. In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or a prominent in-app notice before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

5. Health & Sensitive Data

Health data accessed through Apple HealthKit is used exclusively to provide and improve the Service. We will not use HealthKit data for advertising, sell it to data brokers, or share it with third parties for any purpose other than providing the Service or as required by law.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, regulatory, or legitimate business purposes (such as fraud prevention or dispute resolution).

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights & Choices

Access & Correction. You may view and update your account information at any time through the app's profile settings.

Data Deletion. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at support@liftcard.app.

Push Notifications. You may opt out of push notifications at any time through your device settings.

HealthKit. You can revoke Lift Card's access to HealthKit at any time through iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health.

California Residents (CCPA). You have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used, to request deletion, and to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

EEA/UK Residents (GDPR). You have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of, and port your personal data. You may also object to certain processing and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Third-Party Links & Services

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party services (e.g., Apple HealthKit, Stripe). This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page and, where appropriate, sending you an in-app or email notification. Your continued use of the Service after the updated policy becomes effective constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
